Members of the Legion of Mary Spirit through a balanced programme of prayer and service. Depending on the spiritual needs of the parish as determined by the pastor, works of the Legion of Mary can include door-to-door evangelization, crowd contact, religious instruction, hospital visitation, prison ministry, visits of First Communicants, Enthronement of the Sacred Hear, Pilgrim Virgin Statue rotations and the formation of junior legionaries. The Legion of Mary is under the guidance of a spiritual director named by the pastor. The Legion is, in essence, an extension of the heart and hands of the pastor, a leaven in the parish community.
